Expressing solidarity with cohesion, unanimity, friendship and harmony, the third and the concluding day of the celebrated 3-day long `Bijoy Parbone’ festival, held at the Dhaka University Gymnasium Playground, today, 17 Dec 2012, Monday, resolved spreading the main objective of this auspicious event and the sole message to unite the Bengalis as a unified race, regardless the differences based on race, creed and religious beliefs.

On the last day of the Australian Film Festival held in Dehradun over the last four days, Chief
Minister Vijay Bahuguna visited the Silver City Multiplex and made an announcement on the issue of
providing good facilities to film makers. He was also invited to Australia by Anupam Sharma, who is the
Director of the Australian Festival in India.

The fundraiser which was held at Bowlmor Lanes in Times Square on December 9th raised nearly $2,000 worth of toys for children that were affected by Hurricane Sandy.

A crowded arena filled with mostly the youngsters, and music lovers. And numerous music aficionados still waiting outside the Khulna District Stadium. It was just like that. The crowd went crazy and started head-banging to hopping and singing in chorus when the much awaited UNFPA-BAMBA youth concert 2012 kicked off at 3:05pm. The youngsters expressed their solidarity with the cause. They joined the protest concert to unanimously say `No’ to all forms of violence against women and put a full-stop to eve-teasing NOW and took oath synthesized with the theme `Say No to Violence against Woman: Be a Real Man’ on 7 December 2012, Friday, at Khulna District Stadium. Al-Hajj Talukdar Abdul Khalek, City Mayor, Khulna, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Tariki Ul Islam, Secretary, Ministry of Women & Children Affairs, Mezbah Uddin, DC, Khulna, Shafiqur Rahman, Khulna Metropolitan Police Commissioner and Ajmal Ahmed Tapan, Panel Mayor-One, Khulna City Corporation, as the Special Guests.

Middletown, CT, Nov 25, 2012 (Washington Bangla Radio) North America Sarbojanin Kalipuja Association (NASKA) celebrated the third year of Kalipuja at Mercy High School, 1740 Randolph Road, Middletown, Connecticut on November 17, 2012.  Like last year, the indomitable spirit of the people that participated in the event turned the occasion into one of the biggest Puja celebrations in North America.

Manmohan Gupta says "People who have crossed 50 years have lost their partners. They were not able to marry for many reasons. Our organization will get such people married free of cost if they desire. They will get support in their old age."
