Sonali Chatterjee plays the lead role in the Bengali film Kono Ek Meye directed by Indranil Banerjee (interview). Sonali grew up in the Dumdum-Nagerbazar neighborhood of Kolkata, and after graduating, commenced on a career in acting with roles in Television programs. The collection “Sun Sand and Sangeet”, made with Viscose and Georgette with appliquéd borders in silk and velvet, is a wedding collection for the modern Indian Princess. The vibrant collection of sarees and anarkalis reminded spectators every ritual of a true Indian wedding. That was a truly royal style collection. Most of the dresses were based on white or pink fabric. Famous Bengali film actress Locket Chatterjee (interview) was the show stopper for the day and she walked on the ramp gracefully in a black-pink combined gorgeous royal bridal dress.

His first Bengali fiction short film Kono Ek Meye takes up women's rights and portrays the evils of sexual molestation of the girl child, which, in most cases, is perpetrated by close family members - a six-year old girl's uncle in the case in Indranil's film.

The remarkable trio of young film-makers and producers Samir Banerjee, Sujoy Banerjee and Anyesha Das speak to Arijit Chakraborty on Washington Bangla Radio.

The group, the brainchild of Rishabh, is an initiative towards weaving pure magic with their unique sound, combining Eastern with Western sounds.
