The concert was broadcast live by Washington Bangla Radio from its servers in the United States. This was the first concert live webcast from India.

Following is the original announcement of the event.

After a series of music workshop with regular intricate sectional rehearsals for last 6 months with approximately 80 - 90 music students from different institutions from CALCUTTA, KOLKATA MUSIC ACADEMY will put up a World Music day concert (under the baton of Abraham Mazumder ) on 21st June, 09, Sunday at St. John's Church, 6.30 pm. ( The Oldest Cathedral in the city where Job Charnok's Tomb is laid). KMA will perform works by the Great Masters of European Classical music like Vivaldi, Bach, Handel, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Bartok and so on.

In this evening, a world famous canticle, Scarborough Fair by legendary Simon & Garfunkel will be sung by Mohua Das, featured with harmonized voices accompanied by the Academy Orchestra.

Works by Rabindranath Tagore with Symphonic arrangements, will be highlighted in a historical backdrop of St.John's Alter, which is going to be the first of its kind in this concert.

1) Keno Cheye Acho Go Ma
2) Shokatore Oi Kandiche Shokole
3) Akash Bhora
4) Godhuligogone meghe
5) Chaya Ghonaiche Bone Bone
6) Megh Boleche Jabo Jabo

The above Tagore songs will be performed by  Saheb Chatterjee and  Sasha Ghoshal.

Trumpet Voluntary by Henry Purcell will be played by Eddie Taber from USA on Fugal Horn.

Marchelo's Oboe concerto will be performed by an Armenian musician, Vachagan Tadevosyan.

Also featuring 'Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee' from Beethoven's 9th Symphony - A special Choir performance by KMA members.

Approximately 90 performers will take part in this concert.
