SRIMOTI HEY | KADAMBARI DEBI - 150th ANNIVERSARY TRIBUTE BY SRAVASTI
Rabindranath Tagore spent a considerable amount of time reading and writing poetry with Kadambari Devi who was perhaps at the same intellectual plane as Rabindranath. Kadambori Debi was the wife of Tagore's elder brother Jyotirindranath Tagore (they were married on July 5, 1868). In a surprising turn of events in Tagore's life, Kadambari Devi committed suicide shortly after Tagore's marriage.
