In Sob Charitra Kalpanik, Bipasha Basu plays the role of a Probashi Bangali (expatriate Bengalee) housewife Radhika. Her husband Indranil, played by Prosenjit, dissapears. Prosenjit is a professional Engineer and amateur poet. Bipasha arrives at Kolkata, and begins to discover her roots as well as her husband's hitherto unknown aspects through his poems. She also meets a photographer Shekhar (played by Jisshu). Paoli Dham plays the interesting role of an imaginary woman who is a composite of Indranil's thoughts written down in his poetry.
