Seema can well be explained as a self-trained artist, a visual story teller whose exhaustive practice spans over three long decades embracing a variety of mediums including paintings, sculpture, video installation and performance art. She is a pro in the differentiated form of art called “Performance Art” where artistic expressions are depicted through the visuals of actual physical movements. It is through her visual language of art that she tries to grasp the metaphysical truth of existence and the cosmic energy that is responsible for all creation.

Her work is primarily a celebration of the female form and energy – the source of the twin forces of creation and destruction. Shakti, the divine cosmic energy manifested through female embodiment has been extensively explored and engaged with through Seema Kohli’s works.
