Siddhartha Basu, the quiz master we grew up with, presents the new Indian Hindi television series "SACH KA SAMNA" - a franchise TV serial format based on Fox Network USA's "The Moment Of Truth". Participants get asked increasingly personal and embarrasing questions, and are tied to a lie detector ("polygraph machine") to make sure they answer truthfully.

Saach Ka Saamna will debut on STAR PLUS TV Network in India on July 15, 2009 at 10:30 PM,  hosted by Bollywood actor Rajeev Khandelwal.

Star Plus has planned on airing 50 episodes of 30 minutes each. A quarter of the participants will be showbiz and sports celebrities, with appearances expected by cricketer Vinod Kambli, TV actress Urvashi Dholakia and TV/Bollywood singer Bobby Darling.
