You are forgiven if you initially fondly remembered the 1963 Soumitra Chatterji / Suchitra Sen classic of the same name, then got a shock on realizing the title of this post says "2009". Of course, you do not expect the same quality of Bengali film in today's Bollywood inspired Tollywood Bangla Film industry, but to rule out a new film just because it is modern is perhaps too harsh - we shall see. In any case, Koel and Jeet have once again been paired up, by director Sujit Modol,  in this audaciously named New Bengali Film Sat Paake Bandha to be released on the day of Jamai Shasthi soon. There are a few pictures at the Joomla CMS based tollynewz.com web-site where a pretty angry looking Koel is sitting on a "piri" being married to Jeet wearing a topor.
