Washington Bangla Radio is proud to feature Roquaiya Hasina Neely and her album Baaje Jhornar Gaan.

Ms. Neely is a Special Grade artist with Bangladesh TV and Bangaldesh Betar, renowned for her mastery of Tagore songs (Rabindrasangeet) as well Atulprasadi and Adhunik songs. Her third music album Baaje Jhornar Gaan, was released in August 2006.

Ms. Neely completed five years course on music from Chayanat Songit Bidyatan, Dhaka. She was a music teacher at Chayanat Bidyatan. She is actively involved with Rabindrasangeet Shilpi Sangstha and Chayanat Central committee.

Ms. Neely has performed solo at home and abroad. Voice of America (VOA) broadcast her interview in 1988 when she was in New York, USA. She has performed at Rabindra Mela - a Tagore Festival in New Jersey, held on 27th May 1989.

Ms. Neely lives at Residence of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET)with her husband Professor Shahidul Hassan and their two daughters.
