Premer Kahini (প্রেমের কাহিনী) is a Bengali superhit blockbuster Kolkata (Calcutta) Bangla romance movie directed by Rabi Kinagi. The lead cast includes Dev, Koel Mullick, Mousumi Saha, Ranjit Mallik & Jishhu Sengupta.  This bengali film is the 2nd Bangla movie for popular actor Dev (the first was I Love You). The music and Bengali film songs are by Jeet Ganguly. The plot is inspired by the 2006 Kannada movie "Mungaru Male" directed by Yograj Bhat.

The story goes as follows - Akash (Dev) sees a girl - Barsha (Koel Mullick) in a mall and goes so starry eyed that he falls into a manhole, but not too deep so that the girl pulls him out. The girl drops her watch, which allows Akash to find a reason to go on a search for Barsha. Eventually, Akash goes with his mother to a wedding of the daughter one of Mom's friends - turns that this bride-to-be is Barsha. Barsha's dad, a military Colonel living on borrowed

time with a bullet lodged in his stomach, wished his daughter marry Goutam (Jishu Sengupta. Given the colonel's condition, it is decided his wish be made true. A rabbit named Devdas intercepts a letter from Barsha for Akash and the colonel gets it. Eventually, in a magnanimous speech, Goutam gives up his engagement with Barsha to Akash, and everyone lives happily ever after. Please ignore the similarities with Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and enjoy the movie !
