POWER: JEET-Nusrat-Sayantika Return in New Bangla Movie - Story, Plot, Cast, Crew, Poster and Trailer (WBRi Film Preview)

Kolkata, March 15 (Washington Bangla Radio) Tollywood action hero Jeet is all set to be back on the big screen with his next, titled "Power". The film directed by Rajib Biswas is slated for a release date of 15th  April, the eve of the Bengali New Year.

"Power" (Bengali, 2016) is an official remake of the Telegu movie ‘Power Unlimited’ (2014) by K.S. Ravindra that starred Ravi Teja as the protagonist. Hanshika Motwani and Regina Cassandra were seen as the two female leads in that film.

In the Bengali version, Jeet will be seen reprising the role of Ravi Teja while Nusrat Jahan and Sayantika will play the female leads.

Though Jeet has worked with both the actresses before, this is the first time that the three will come together in one movie. Jeet has been a lucky co-actor for both the actresses.

Nusrat Jahan had her big screen debut with Jeet in "Shotru" directed by Raj Chakraborty which was a runaway hit. The movie immediately placed Nusrat among the A-grade stars of Tollywood Bengali movie industry.

Sayantika started with a few forgettable roles but  her big-screen career turned around totally when she was paired with Jeet in "Awara" in the year 2012 which was a blockbuster hit and one of the highest grossing movies of the year, though this film too was a remake of  V.V. Vinayak’s Telegu movie "Krishna" starring Ravi Teja and Trisha Krishnan in the lead. After that Sayantika has never looked back and is currently one of the regulars in the big-banner movies.

Story / Plot Outline of Bengali movie POWER:

Baldev Bose (Jeet) is a corrupt yet brave police officer in Kolkata. He dies while saving a dreaded criminal named Ganguly.

Ganguly however is taken into custody by Baldev’s allies. Meanwhile a look-alike of Baldev is found far from the city who aspires to join the police force.

When the guy pulls out a daredevil act to help police nab a dreaded criminal, he was hailed by the media and his footage was shown across television channels. During this time a powerful political leader notices his similarity with Baldev and brings him back to Kolkata to get him to impersonate the deceased Baldev.

Soon unimaginable things start getting revealed and the story takes unexpected twists and  turns every minute. What happens next forms the rest of the plot.

The script and the screenplay of the film have been written by Abhimanyu Mukherjee while Jeet Ganguli has composed the music. Sailesh Avasti is the director of  photography for the film while Mohammed Kalam is in charge of editing.

The action-packed movie has Rocky Rajesh as the action director who is one of the key members of the unit and bears the responsibility of the success of the film. Adil Sheikh is the choreographer and the lyrics of the songs have been written by Prosen and Raja Chanda.

Produced by Shree Venkatesh Films and Surinder films, "Power" is the best treat Jeet's fans can ask for on this Bengali New Year day.
