Flush with success of the Raj Chakraborty Bengali blockbuster Challenge (2009), Dev and Subhasree pair up in Malayasia for the shooting of Paran Jaay Jaliya Re. The film is named after the opening line of a Bengali Film Song from the movie.  Both Subhasree and Dev have lost significant weight in preparation of the film.

Subhasree Ganguly, born Nov 3, 1989, received positive critical reviews for her role in Bajimat. She had started her actress career with the Oriya film Mate Ta Love Helare with Anubhav Mohanty. Her Bengali debut was in Pitribhumi with Dev as her co-actor.
