Goutam Sen debuts as a feature film director with Pakhi, which has received great critical reviews. The movie apparently tells parallal tales. Badsha Maitra operates a lodge on a getaway island. Soumitra and his blind daughter Debasree come vacationing. Debasree blames her estranged husband Krishnakishore for loss of her eyesight. Debasree and Krishnakishore are fated to meet again on the island, but Krishnakishore dies accidentally. Badsha himself encounters his old sweetheart Kanchana who arrives and leaves with businessman Sabyasachi Chakraborty.

The film has a beautiful background score by Piloo Bhattacharya and sensitive use of Rabindra Sangeet and Bhatiali.
