Kanika Banerjee was one of the top singers in India specializing in Tagore songs. She was a professor of music at Shanti Niketan in India.
Kanika Banerjee met Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore early in life and received musical training from him. She had concerts all over the world including USA. She died in 2000.
