Most people are eagerly awaiting to watch Kaaler Rakhal  to see NANDANA SEN in the bengali film. NANDANA SEN is the daughter of the Nobel Prize winning Economist AMARTYA SEN.

Though the name evokes an image of God taking the form of a shephard and chasing sheep over farms, Writer / Director Sekhar Das tells his own story with the help of Nilanjan Chatterjee in Kaaler Rakhal - his 3rd Bangla Film. NRIs are invoked in this movie once again, and their misdirected assumptions on the simplicity of the Indian way of society is highlighted. A couple of Bengali Expatriates arrive with the goal of documenting Folk Tradiitons of Bengal, and run into the political mess and corruption ridden society, which, among other characteristics, involves the exploitation of a poor artist by megalomaniacs and politicians. Music direction is by Indradip Dasgupta.
