Star One TV Channel in India started airing the new Hindi Television serial "Hum Dono Hai Alag Alag" on 7/13/2009 at 10 PM IST, Monday to Thursday.The series is produced by Hemal Thakkar / Playtime Creations.

Hum Dono Hain Alag Alag revolves around two married couples: Avantika Trivedi - Varun Kothari and Rajshree Goradia - Aditya Kothari. The two couples are shown living their marriage, mostly in a humorous way, but raising deeper questions about romance and marriage and the relationship between husband and wife versus two passionate lovers. Varun and Aditya Kothari are two brothers, but quite different in thoughts and personalities.

Varun Kothari is played by Yash Pandit, the popular actor from the mega serial "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" in which he played Lakshya. Yash Pundit also played Sidhharth in "Betiyaan".

The beautiful television actress Dimple Jhangiani playes the role of Avantika Trivedi. In some ways, Avantika is smarter and more forward of the two sisters-in-law.

Manish Raisinghania plays Aditya Kothari, who is the more handsome and also more suave of the two brothers.

Harshada Khandeparkar plays Rajshree Goradia. Harshada is the popular actress from "Neelanjana".
