The upcoming Kolkata Bangla new Movie "Hangover" directed by Prabhat Roy (প্রভাত রায়) has already created a buzz among Bengali latest movie followers. 

Prabhat Roy came into limelight with his first film Pratidan (Bengali, 1983).  His last movie was Pitribhumi (Bengali, 2007) starring Jeet and Swastika.

Hangover is billed as a Bengali comedy movie starring Bangla Film Superstar Prosenjit who plays the role of Samaresh Chatterjee - a man over 40 married to Chandana played by the newcomer Bengali actress Paromita. He is the boss of a news channel, but fantasizes romantic involvement with younger girls, played by fresh faces Sayantika and Sankalika. The movie has got nothing to do with drinking, but is a comedy playing on archetypical middle age crisis symptoms. The newcomer actor Joy plays Rajiv who works for Prosenjit. Veteran Biplab Chatterjee plays Prosenjit's elder brother. Apparently some humorous incidents take place, including rough patches in Prosenjit's marital life due to his fantasies & Prosenjit's adventures in a Disco.

Renowned Bollywood Music director Pritam Chakraborty directs the Bengali film songs in Hangover. This is Pritam's debut Bengali movie music score.

Hangover is shot at Kolkata and Shimla, and is expected to be released late 2009 or early 2010. Prosenjit's last role in a Prabhat Ray film was in "Sudhu Ekbaar Bolo".
