Femina Miss India 2018 Audition to be held on 18th March in Kolkata


Kolkata, 14th March, 2018India’s most exciting, glamorous and sought after beauty pageant is underway and continues its talent hunt at Kolkata at fbb/Big Bazaar, Shakespeare Point, in Kolkata. With a new and improvised format, Miss India this year in its 55th edition will be touring to all 30 states of the nation and to crown 30 state representatives who will then compete at the National finale in Mumbai for the coveted Miss India crown. The top 3 of West Bengal and Sikkim will be given a golden ticket to the East zonal crowning ceremony to be held in Kolkata at Swissotel on22nd March. The most deserving candidate from each of the 13 states i.e. Miss India Arunachal Pradesh, Miss India Assam, Miss India Bihar, Miss India Chattisgarh, Miss India Jharkhand, Miss India Manipur, Miss India Meghalaya, Miss India Mizoram, Miss India Nagaland, Miss India Orissa, Miss India Sikkim, Miss India Tripura and Miss India West Bengal will represent their state at the grand finale which is going to be held in Mumbai in June.


The day-long audition is expected to witness an overwhelming response from the city as always, with the hope of local talent winning the prestigious title. For the very first time, the pageant will host mentors for each zone who will guide the contestants to merit. To take charge of the proceeding for the East Zone we have none other than the actress and winner of Miss India 2009, semi-finalist Miss World 2009 and winner of “Beauty with a Purpose” at Miss World for her charitable work “Nanhi Kali” Pooja Chopra who has made a mark in Bollywood.

She enthusiastically quoted, “It is great to be a mentor where I can bring in something from my side for the contestants. I am looking forward to this journey and hoping to bring in my best for everyone.”
