WBRi recommended selection: The excellent Suresh Wadkar album "Gayatrimala". The Gayatri Mantra is perhaps the most primordial and primal chant of Human Civilization, and despite being ageless, directly establishes a connection between man and the Universe, long before many regions of the world even realized there was a universe beyond caves, trees and wooly mammoths.
Suresh Wadkar deserves special commendation for his delivery and pronounciation of Sanskrit. Having learn Sanskrit myself from a great North Indfian teacher who could recite two vedas from memory (hence the title "Dwivedi") - I have always cringed on the Bengali pronounciation of Sanskrit, and its a relief to hear Suresh.
Buy this album, play it when you are commuting and are stuck in a five-lane backup ... you will find it calming, soothing and helpful to keep you away from road rage.
