The Husband-wife pair of Rahul and Priyanka, whose blockbuster "Chirodini Tumi Je Aamar"  is remembered by many, play the roles of rich boy Raj and poor girl Kusum, complete with the standard alcoholic Dad beating helpless girl with a bed-ridden elder sister sob-story.

So - the pair have an affair, the boys granny becomes enraged and hires a goon to beat up her own grandson, forcing the girl to agree to marry the hooligan. The rich boy leaves his house and starts vending food on the streets and kick boxing for money.

The movie has scenes of lip kissing  - perhaps the first Bengali movie to do so.
