Mina, who is dead, narrates the story & introduces her family. Mina's husband Rohit & son Rony, who live in Singapore, are out of touch with Mina's family because Mina's family were against her marrying Rohit.  Mina's cousin Chumki's wedding is imminent, and Chumki's mother Sabitri Devi and most of her family would like to invite Rohit to the wedding, but Chumki's dad is not too keen.  Sabitri sticks to her gun and invites Rohit, who arrives to attend, but Chumki's dad Pratap Narayan and her brother make it clear they want nothing to do with Rohit. Rohit however does not return the rudeness in kind, and remaind humble, and also explains to Rony why some people in the family remain hostile.

Now - Mina's twin sister Rina arrives, and Rohit's son Rony sees a mother figure in Rina, and Rohit draws closer to her ... and you can guess the rest of this fantastic bangla movie :)
