Leading vocalist Chiranjib Chakraborty performs solo at Panchamukhee Durga Utsav this year. His melodious renditions of Indian Ragas (Indian Classical Vocal) are a treat for all.

The performance will be on the auspicious day of Saptami during Durga Pujo, 2009.

Chiranjib Chakraborty is one of the top ranking vocalists of Indian classical music in Europe. He is a disciple of Pandit Nidan Bandhu Banerjee, Pandit Arun Bhaduri and Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty. He is also learning Karnatic vocal music from the Maestro Padmabhushan Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna. He is currently living in London and established “Sangeet Kala Academy”, an Institute of art and culture for the younger generation. He also presently works for Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan as a Lecturer for the B. Mus. Degree course under the auspices of Trinity College of London. He has recently been honoured as “Fellow” (FTCL) by Trinity College of London in Indian Vocal Music.
