Kolkata, September 28 (Washington Bangla Radio): Designer Manasi Sen Gupta launched her puja collection in the presence of the very pretty Director Reshmi Mitra, music director Gautam Sushmit and upcoming actor Rajdeep Gupta. The designer dedicates her collection to Shakti or the Mother Goddess.

While showing the press around her boutique, the designer highlighted on the fact that her boutique is unique and not like the other fashion destinations that one can find in the city. “My collection reflects the desire of the city for exotic apparels. The designs are mean to cater to the needs of every modern woman with a strong understanding of elegance and fashion. It is for those women who believe that the clothes they wear must bring out their personality and not over shadow it. Their emphasis is more on clear cuts, easy to maintain fabrics, light embellishments and color pallet to suit every occasion and mood” said Manasi Sen Gupta. The saris range from the cost of Sixteen Hundred and fifty rupees to Fifteen thousand rupees. Munga, Chanderi, Dhakai, Muslin, Gicha Tassar are some of the fabrics available in the boutique. Kurtas and Punjabis and other such traditional clothes for men are also available in this boutique.

In a red and beige colored sari from the Shakti collection, director Reshmi Mitra looked stunning. The dark eye makeup and her open tresses gave her an ethereal look. “I am a regular customer of the clothes of Mansi’s boutique. For the Durga Puja, I have picked up a cotton sari, some salwar suits and a couple of other designer saris. It feels great to know that this collection of Mansi’s is inspired from my film Mukti” said the director. The director will be in Kolkata making plans for her next films and also celebrating the Durga Puja at her home. “I have two films in mind. One will be a commercial film with a new pair and the other will be a film with Rituparna Sengupta. Since I will be at home due to the puja at my home, making plans will be easy” said Reshmi Mitra.

After much cajoling, music director Gautam Sushmit wore a Punjabi from the men’s wear range called Komon. “I am not very comfortable in traditional garments. I like to wear jeans and T-shirts always. I seldom wear traditional outfits. I simply do not know how to carry them and I think I do not look quite well wearing one” said the music director. The music director is busy on a number of film projects. “After Encounter and Swabhumi, I have done the music for the Govinda starrer Samadhi. I am also composing music for a few other films, the names of which I cannot divulge now” said Gautam Sushmit.

Actor Rajdeep Gupta looked handsome in the beige colored Punjabi from the Komon range.  “I do not follow any fashion trend. Comfort for me is the ultimate thing. You will see me wearing a slipper to award functions also. Since I shop all round the year, I do not have any shopping to do before the pujas. I will be mostly spending time at my friend’s house. They organize a Durga Puja at their house. It will be good food, adda sessions and enjoyment” said the actor.

Great designs, trendy and abstract prints coupled with good price makes the apparels from Mansi’s boutiques a good choice for both men and women.
