Kolkata, September 10 (Washington Bangla Radio): Just at the age of 4, the basic training of Satyaki Roy in recitation began with his first guru being his own mother. Little did he know that one day he will achieve great fame and success with his recitation because destiny had absolutely different plans for him. From the age of five, Satyaki started focusing completely on his desired field i.e recitation and participated in many competitions and his talent got him several prizes.

The major break in Satyaki’s career came when he got selected in All India Radio after giving auditions there. After that he never had to look back because this break was the turning point in his career. Fame and glory welcomed him with open arms. He started working for the recitation and drama division of AIR and participated in many programs of AIR“Golpo Dadur Asor” being one of them.

As time progressed, Satyaki received greater fame and more success in recitation. He got selected as an artist for recitation and elocution in the AIR and thus his voice and talent reached to more and more listeners gathering praise and appreciation from them.

During this phase, Satyaki’s area of fame was not only restricted to the All India Radio .He also participated in Rajyo Yuba Utsav, Calcutta Cine Festival, and All Bengal Vivekananda Institution’s Ceremony and to add to his glory bagged the first prize in all of these competitions.

In the year 2005, Satyaki Roy released his debut recitation and song album under the banner of Sony music. With the song in the album being self-written, his album proved to be a huge success and was liked and appreciated by his admirers.

With his increasing popularity, Satyaki Roy also got huge attention from the media. He got opportunities to do shows on many renowned audio visual channels like ETV, Akash bangla. Along with TV channels he also did live shows at Rabindra Sadan, Salt Lake Stadium, Burdwan Utsav, Kolkata Utsav Etc.

At present Satyaki Roy is trying his luck in the film industry and is working as a music director for many upcoming films. Satyaki, ‘The man with the magical voice’ is also working as a voice over artist in many jingles.
