Journey of the Goddess
Calcutta, September 30, 2011 (Washington Bangla Radio / IBNS) IBNS photographer Avishek Mitra presents and exclusive online photo-feature on the many moods and faces of the Goddess as she is given shape in the city's Kurmatuli studios and then transported to the pandals (marquees) for the five-day festivity.
This year the puja starts on Oct 2 (the Mahasasthi day) and ends with the immersion on Oct 6. Check out the wonderful pictures captured by Avishek.
