Tagore extravaganza kickstarts Monday

New Delhi, Sep 26 (IBNS): A five-day cultural extravaganza marked by Nritya Natyas (dance dramas) based on nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore's works kick-started Monday at the Kamani Auditorium here as part of the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of the world poet.
The treasure trove of Tagore-composed dance dramas, to be showcased, comprised 'Chitrangada' choreographed by Gitanjali Lal, 'Chandalika' by Jatin Goswami, 'Shyama' by Thankamuni Kutty, 'Bidai Abhishap' by N. Amusana Devi and 'Chandalika' by Vempati Chinna Satyam.
The programme is being organised by National Academy of music, dance and drama, New Delhi (Sangeet Natak Akademi).
