Esho Mataha Laxmi Devi Album Launch

This worship of the Hindu Goddess of well-being is traditionally performed in many households with great ardor and devotion for peace, wealth and prosperity and the stob, gayatri, anjali. Pachali forms an integral part of Laxmi Puja.

But now changing times, increasing pace of lifestyle, shortage of time,  lack of proper understanding of the Panchali contents, it's language (only in Bangla) and such factors have forced this practice to either rural Bengali folks or left it with the generations of our mothers and grandmothers. There are many examples wherein the mother has recited the Pachali, recorded the same in Cassettes or mobile etc. or have even written the Pachali in English script and given to the daughters or daughters in law to perform the rituals.

Now Encore Entertainments India presents this unique concept titled “ESO MATOH LOKKHI DEBI” which attempts to address the concerns of the modern Bengali family, be it in India or abroad. This Bangla audio album Eso Matoh Lokkhi Debi contains the stob, gayetri and anjali with some melodious songs on Goddess Lakkhi. This unique product can be played in every Bengali household in the evenings or during Thursdays and one may sit and perform Puja. This is a must for every Bengali household now.

Talented singer Mr. Raghav Chattopadhyay and the budding child prodigy Antara Nandy (who is a product of Zee TV Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs 2009 National) have performed the songs in this album. It will be thrilling listening to the Pachali , Broto Katha and Anjali parts recited by the 13 year old Antara.

It is worth mentioning here that Antara is one of the toppers in her class and is a student at Delhi Public School, Kolkata.

Music was composed by Mr. Chandan Ray Choudhury. This album was launched on 3rd. September 2011 at the Birla Academy of Art and Culture amidst a virtual environment created on Lakkhi Puja. It was inaugurated by eminent personality Rudra Prasad Sengupta. The event was anchored by Ms. Madhumita Maitra and the album was released by many dignitaries from various fields, including Mr. Rahul Agarwal (MD - Sristi TV), Mr. Mridul Bhowmik (MD - Elite Shoes), Mr. Raghupati Bhuwalka (MD - Suchita Millenium), Mrs. Janaki Venkataramani (SIP Academy India), Mr. Chandan Ray Choudhury (Music Director) and the artist Miss Antara Nandy.
