Kolkata, Sept 1, 2011 (Washington Bangla Radio / IBNS) Post their much-hyped break-up, actors Parambrata Chatterjee and Swastika Mukherjee would be seen sharing screen space again for Tollywood Kolkata Bengali film 'Mach Misti & More'.
But the duo are not playing a couple in the film.
Leading Tollywood stars got together on the set of Mach Misti & More for a shooting at Taal Gur House in Kolkata on Tuesday.
Actor Shouvik is paired with Swastika who plays his wife in the film and they are a couple who come back to stay in Kolkata after staying in USA.
Shouvik was very happy and excited about his character and on working with Swastika.
‘Swastika is a wonderful person’ said Shouvik during the shooting as IBNS caught up with the actors.
Soumitra Chatterjee, Parambrata, Swastika, Shouvik and newcomer Anubrata were shooting for a dinner session.
Talking about the film, director Mainak Bhaumik was very positive about the progress of the film.
“All of them are professional and co operative. I am thankful to Soumitra da. Despite of his age, he is always on time for my film," he said.
The film is about the loves and lives of three brothers belonging to a middle class Bengali family: Rudra, Ronnie and Raj.
Talking about the film, Mainak, the young director, sounded very positive and excited.
He said that the film is related to food as Bengalis love mach(fish), misti(sweets) and more.
"But there is more to just fish and sweets for Bengalis. You also have the Golbari Kasha Mangsha (mutton of the Golbari food joint in Shyambazar) and other stuff," he said.
The film is also about the loves and lives of three brothers (Rudra, Ronnie and Raj) belonging to a middle-class Bengali family and their changing relationships.
One brother finds love, one discovers himself and one re-evaluates his own purpose in life all through a 120-minute roller coaster ride.
Ronnie played by Parambrata is the middle brother who has a major role in the film. Raima plays his girlfriend.
Anubrata, a newcomer, plays the younger brother Raj in the film.
The film has nothing explicit and sensational, said the director but the sensation is audience will see former lovers Swastika and Parambrata working again in the same film.
