Indian Film Festival – “And then in the first half of the 80s as if the Indian cinema suddenly disappeared from Bulgaria. And that is why what we know of it come from our memories, years back. And India, being the biggest producer of movies in the world – with a total of 1,296 movies produced in 2009, keeps on developing and creating some of the best movies out there. And that is the idea of the festival, to get Bollywood back to Bulgaria and to show all Bulgarians who fell India close to their hearts, was has happened in the last 25 years, who are the new stars, what the new face of Bollywood is like.”

Among the movies, which are going to be shown during the festival there are epic historical drams such as “Jodhaa Akbar”, modern-day India can be seen in “Fashion” and “Dhoom – 2” and then there are quite a lot of beautiful love stories, such as “Fanaa” and “Rab ne bana di Jodi” and a lot of dances in “Aaja Nachle”.

“We are happy to welcome the Namaste Bulgaria!
