Martin Luther King III to be the Chief Guest at the Seminar on Constitution at Jai Hind College

Mumbai, 10th September, 2010: The world renowned civil rights activist, Martin Luther King III will be the Chief Guest a the UGC sponsored National Seminar “60 years of the Constitution of India: Retrospect and Prospect” at Jai Hind College, Mumbai. Eminent speakers from across the country will discuss themes ranging from Ambedkar’s contribution to the Constitution, Gandhi’s impact on the Constitution, Minority rights, Terrorism, Environmental Concerns, Empowerment of Women, Naxalism, Criminalisation of Politics, Educational Reforms, Communalism, etc. Through paper presentations, discussions and talks on the above mentioned themes, the seminar aims to tackle the question of the extent to which our Constitution has withstood the test of time and why it is referred to as a dynamic yet stable institution. A host of eminent speakers and panelists would be participating in the three day seminar including Mr. Tushar Gandhi; Dr. J.
