Rancho, Raju and Farhan re unite at the '3 Idiots' DVD & VCD launch on Reliance BIG Home Video

The 3 Idiots standard edition DVD & VCD launch function organized by Reliance Big Home Video on 27th August 2010 at Grand Hyatt turned out to be an interactive and lively session. The media turnout was well represented across TV, Press, Websites and Magazines.

Mumbai, Maharashtra, September 4, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio / India PRwire) The evening started with the the '3 idiots' - Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi along with the maverick Director Raju Hirani and Reliance BIG Home Video - Sweta Agnihotri Chief Operating Officer being welcomed on stage. Sweta stated that their company was very happy and proud about their association with this film and how the 3 Idiots premium DVD has become the fastest selling DVD in Indian history. Reliance Big Home Video had ensured that the superior quality will have the consumers reliving the magic of 3 Idiots repeatedly. An AV was then shown which described how the movie has affected and touched people from all walks of life and showed the euphoria of people reacting to the 3 Idiots movie during its release week. The AV bought back memories to the cast & Crew.

Raju Hirani spoke at length about 3 Idiots the movie, his experience and the special place that it holds in his heart. He also stressed how the 3 Idiots premium pack (launched on 21st July'10) is a must own and he showcased premiums from this pack which included the sticker book, Idioticomic and then played a segment from the special features DVD aptly titled "100% Idiots". This segment drew a lot of applause and comments from the guests and the cast. In fact, Aamir & Mahdavan jest fully still denied that they were drunk during the shooting of one of the scenes in the film. Raju also went back in time and said that exactly 2 years ago on August 27th 2008 was the first day that they started shooting for this film. He also played a small section of the film with his commentary on (The DVD has an option of playing the film with his commentary) which was also much appreciated.

Speaking on the occasion Aamir Khan was very thrilled that Reliance BIG Home Video is now launching the standard definition DVD & VCD which can now reach out to the masses. He also added how all his films are close to his heart and has confessed on keeping the clapboard after the last scene is shot of each of his films. Raju smilingly reminded him that he also keeps one outfit from each film as a memory to which Aamir proudly showed his T-shirt that he was wearing to this event was indeed from the film 3 Idiots. He also said that this DVD is a must own and if given a choice he would give this DVD to his all time favorite directors - Guru Dutt, Mehboob & Raj Kapoor.

Madhavan, Sharman & Swanand also shared their experiences and were feeling nostalgic after viewing the Euphoria segment.

The press was given an exclusive photo opportunity during the launch function and was also given a copy of the standard edition DVD with a press release.

Aamir also did a meet and greet with the contest winners who had come from various parts of India. Sharman, Madhavan & Raju also obliged the fans with photos & autographs.
