If I like to write on him, I may write so many but miss out the important aspects!!

How could I describe him? He entered Tollywood at very tender age with the film “Chotto Jigyasha”, then in his mid teen age he became the prince of Tollywood with teenage love story “Duti Pata” but now he is the king of Tollywood, not only for his acting but for his qualities as a human being also. He is none other than Prasenjit Chattopadhyay – our very own “Prasenjit” and lovable “Bumbada” to the entire Tollywood.

He is reining the Tollywood as hero around three decades and most of his films are mega hit. It’s a dream for every heroine of Tollywood to work with him!

From the very 1st day of his career, he has worked in every kind of films with almost all the directors.

Right now, he is counting days for release of  “Moner Manush” by famous director Gautam Ghosh where Prasenjit portrayed the role of Baul Raja Lalon Fakir. He was hiding from all for around six months and spent the entire time with bauls to know and to characterize Baul God, Lalon. We are expecting a ever memorable performance from him.

He is planning to direct a film but he cannot find time as he is very busy with Artist Forum, an organization of Tollywood Artists and Technicians, to make everybody related to Bengali film as happy. He, as Bumbada or Bumba, always stands beside everybody as family member.

He is also trying to popular Bengali films around the Globe to every Bengali on this Globe. He is taking steps with others to shape up Bengali cinema as a true profit making established industry.

Presently he is busy with popular classy Television Daily, Ganer Opare, broadcast on Star Jalsa where he is producer along with his wife, actor Arpita and friend, director Rituparno Ghosh under the banner “Ideaz” – their own production house.

Ganer Opare is a different kind of mega soap to celebrate 150th Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore. Right now, it is one among the most popular television shows and gaining more popularity day by day with audience of every age, from every part of society. It is truly cultural in sense and enriched with script by Rituparno Ghosh and music by Debojyoti Mishra.

We wish all the success for Ganer Opare and Maner Manush and definitely for Prasenjit as actor, director and producer.
