Today(16th August) is the football day. Yesterday was 15th August.We left the 29th July 18 days behind. So,today I will tell you about MOHUN BAGAN AC Location: Kolkata Maidan. Colours: Green and Maroon. Symbol: Sail Boat. Stadium: Mohun Bagan ground. Yuva Bharati Krirangan. India is the pride of the World. MOHUN BAGAN AC is one of the National prides of India. The History of MOHUN BAGAN AC: The MOHUN BAGAN AC is the National club of our country India. It is the oldest Club in Asia. Since 1947 we are celebrating our Independence day on 15th of August. Coincidencely The MOHUN BAGAN AC was established on 15th of August 1889(just 58 years back) when India was up in arms against her collonial head, The great Britain. Eversince its establishment the Club(the MOHUN BAGAN AC) had been winning a lot of local leagues and cups. MOHUN BAGAN AC gave a lot of plesurement to the country people. But,atlast, the moment of greatness that surpasses all came in the year of 1911, when the MOHUN BAGAN AC became the first Indian club or team to defeat the foreign players in their own game(as we all know the fact that- football is the National game of England) of football. Eversince there has been no stopping! The club- our very own the MOHUN BAGAN AC has won and keeps on winning many a laurel for the country! It has made our Nation Proud! You must know that- according to FIFA rankings, in Asia, the MOHUN BAGAN AC is the 16th biggest team to have an avg. home crowd of 19,888. According to World standards, Mohun Bagan has been ranked of 127 much ahead of other big clubs like Udinese(Italy), Benfica(Portugal) and Fulham(England) to mention a few. It is however,not an easy task to consolidate the history of a club which is more than 121 years old. People said that, the MOHUN BAGAN AC It’s not just a club, it is an institution, a religion, a passion. .... Yes. It is true.
