Sourav is a reciter since childhood. He has learnt the art of reciting from Shri Biman Chattopadhyay, the distinguished writer and poet who is not with us any more. He pays homage to the poet by reciting one of his poems.

Sourav completed his 6th year in recitation from the Academy of Fine Arts and has performed in various cultural functions. He has even shared the stage with the eminent elocutionist Ms. Bratati Bandopadhyay in Rabindrasadan and has attended one of her three-day workshops at Nehru Children's Museum in Kolkata. Sourav ChakrabortyRecitation has helped him won several awards, accolades and even scholarships. This talent has given him the opportunity to anchor shows and cultural programs as well.

Sourav is pursuing his B. TECH in Electronics and Instrumentation. His varied hobbies include philately (stamps collection), numismatics (coin-collection), pen-collection and photography. He is a regular player in his college cricket team and is an active debater. He resides in the district of Hooghly in West Bengal, India and can be contacted at souravcha57@gmail.com.
