Kolkata Celebs comes together to mark the first Savvy Honours in Kolkata

‘Savvy Honours’ stepped into Kolkata gifting the City of Joy a memorable evening where fashion and felicitation blended together in a unique way.  

Organised by the Pouplar Women’s magazine ‘Savvy’, the event saw the glamorous presence of a number of city celebs including actress Rituparna Sengupta, Koyel Mallick, director Srijit Mukherjee, singer Usha Uthup, actress Rachana Banerjee, designer duo Dev and Nil, singer Anik Dhar actor Ferodous Ahmed, actor Arjun Chakrabarty, designer Sarbari Dutta, and others.

The evening also witnessed the felicitation of notable women from the city who contributed significantly to different fields like art, culture, fashion, education, entrepreneurship, real estate, beauty, health and social work.

Rituparna Sengupta and Usha Uthup were felicitated as ‘Savvy Power Woman’ for their immense contribution to their respective field of film and music. Vaishali Dalmiya was also felicitated as ‘Savvy Power Woman’ title for her social work which she has exerted to the farthest corners of Bengal. Dr Rupali Basu, President and CEO of Apollo Hospitals was also conferred the same title.

The celebs present at the event also took turns to step into the shows of presenters and handed over the mementos and certificates to the achievers.

4.      Shalini Biswas, a new gen publisher who has brought a number of revolutions in publishing industry of the city.

5.      Angana Lahiri Das, principal of Calcutta Public School

6.      Jolly Chanda, one of India’s top darts player as well as a celebrity hair stylist

7.      Gurbeer Ahluwalia, Director of Kolkata Response Group , a security and intelligence solution company.

8.      Neha Mohta and Preeti Gupta, known for their delicatedly handcrafted ethnic handbags.

9.      Farheen Bushra Rahman, a Kolkata based designer who recently achieved global limelight for her internationally launched collection on modesty dressing.

10.  Antara Bose, a revered name in Kolkata real estate business. She is also a business woman in beauty and lifestyle sector.

11.  Silki Agarwal, a singer as well as an interior designer. Her singing career achieved a new height when her album ‘Soul Chanta’ was nominated as the Best Devotional category in the Global Indian Music awards.

12.   Jyoti Shroff, a designer with specialisation in Indian craftsmanship and modern silhouettes.

13.  Saroj Agarwal, chief Embryologist and Lab Director at Care IVF. A gold medallist in Zoology, she is the first person in Eastern India to perform many sophisticated procedures in IVF.

15.  Sneh Chaudhury, a dance instructor, choreographer and an entertainment designer. Her 25 star events and entertainment is one of the revered names in event management sector of the city.

16.  Ritu Jagnani, a well-known event manager.

17.  Radhika Jain, a trained Gemologist who has participated in exhibitions in a number of major cities of the nation.

18.  Neha Jhunjhunwala, a Graphic Designer.

19.  Swati Pasari, a painter.

20.  Neeta Kanoria, an educationist. She owns the Montessori ‘Wings’

21.  Rittika Kanoria, one of the pioneers to introduce microbrewery in restaurants of Kolkata. She also runs a photography studio.

The event also saw a spectacular display of fashion show by designer Lathika Dhawan. Popular Bengali actress Mumtaz Sorcar took the ramp as the showstopper.
