Kolkata, August 28 (Washington Bangla Radio): After touring the world and participating in many film festivals around the world, ‘Tasher Desh’ released in India officially with a grand premiere at Priya cinema hall in Kolkata.

The venue was decorated with human Props who resembled the natives of the land of cards as shown in the film. The most interesting and innovative element of the premiere was the pass which came in the form of a passport. The bright red passport described the definition of a nation in the eyes of the film unit. The passport was also accompanied with a boarding pass.

It was clearly a hectic day for Kaushik Mukherjee who is known more commonly as Q. He was seen greeting and welcoming the guests to the premiere as well as interacting with media persons with same enthusiasm. Rii Sen, the leading lady of the film and partner of Q was looking bright in a Pink saree. Her winning smile was lingering on her face as it does always.

Joyraj, one of the key performers in the film was spotted in an outfit which is quite unconventional for a premiere. He wrapped himself in a white dhoti (worn in south Indian style) and a matching white shirt. Seems to have been inspired by a recent hit movie which portrayed South India vividly. But at the end of the day the highly talented actor ended up looking supercool.

Bong beauty Raima Sen was also spotted at the premiere and she looked sizzling hot in an orange saree. She was seen bonding with Tilotomma Shome, who plays one of the leading characters of ‘Tasher Desh’.

Imaad, son of Naseeruddin Shah who also plays a pivotal role in the film was also present at the premiere. His curly hairs reminded everyone of the style which has been made famous by Sri Lankan Cricketer Lasith Malinga. Imaad seems to carry on the trend with élan though he is not going for the multi coloured variety and is sticking to his natural jet black shade.

Other film personalities like Rahul, Priyanka, Ritwik Chakrabarty, Suman Mukherjee, Kamalika banerjee and Arindam Sil were also spotted at the premiere.

Tollywood  hunk Indraneil Sengupta also appeared at the premiere with his pretty wife Barkha Bisht. Saheb Bhattyacharya too looked cool in a party outfit which consisted of a silver shirt and red trousers. His spiked hair and the bow tie with his shirt spoke a lot of his style statement.

The premiere and the couple of hours of screening kept everyone glued to the movie. The audience seemed to carry varied reactions as they came out of the theatre. But none disagreed to the fact that Q has pulled of a stunner, in whatever way it is perceived.
