First Ever Bangladeshi Trade Fair in Malaysia to Boost Business
Bangladesh, August 24 (Washington Bangla Radio): As an initiative to encourage the growth and sustainability of the “Next Eleven” and to boost bilateral trade links the Malaysian government has recently declared a zero tariff on the import of 300 products from Bangladesh.
It is for this reason HEADMASTER EVENTS, in collaboration with Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGMEA) and Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BKMEA) decided to work with the government and other collaborate partners to host the first ever “TRADE IN BANGLADESH” fair in Malaysia.
The three day long trade fair on more than 300 Bangladeshi products would be held at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) at Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia on 29th, 30th and 31st August Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The Fair titled `Trade In Bangladesh Fair 2013’ comprised of 70 plus stalls showcasing hundreds of Bangladeshi products will be open to visitors from 10:00 am till 7:00 pm every day.
The inauguration ceremony will be held at Putra World Trade Center (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur on 29 August, 2013 Thursday at 7:00 PM in the evening. The event will include traditional songs and dance troupe of Malaysia organized by the Cultural & Tourism Ministry of Malaysia.
Hon’ble Commerce Minister for the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh Mr. GM Quader and Tun Abdullah bin Haji Ahmad Badawi, Former Prime Minister of the Govt. of Malaysia will be present at the inauguration as the Chief Guests.
Major participants would be Biman Bangladesh, Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC), Pubali Bank Ltd., Popular Life Insurance Co. Ltd., Regent Airways, National Credit & Commerce Bank Ltd. (NCCBL) ad Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB).
Sponsors of the fair are Regent Airways, National Credit & Commerce Bank Ltd. (NCCBL), Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB) and Elenga Hotel Sdn Bhd (Malaysia). In addition, Malaysia SME will be the media partner of the prospective trade fair.
