Rabindra Talent Mission launched, Veteran Tollywood actor Soumitro Chatterje and singer Bonoshree Sengupta graced the occasion

Kolkata, August 17 (Washington Bangla Radio): The inauguration of the Central Kolkata Rabindra Talent Mission took place at Press Club in the presence of legendary actor Soumitra Chatterjee and singer Bonoshree Sengupta.


Central Kolkata Rabindra Talent Mission is a career advancement institution. The institution which will soon begin working will be providing training of different government jobs for the financially backward youth in the rural areas.


Dada Saheb Phalke award winner Soumitro Chatterjee was pleased with the objectives that the institution is aiming at. The actor felt that this institution will provide a good opportunity for the financially backward students to derive the required training which will enable them to compete with the others in the competitive examinations. The actor also spoke to WBRI correspondent about his next film Rupkotha Noy. Soumitro Chatterjee plays the lead role in the film. “I play the character of Sisir Ray. My character gets immense pleasure from sitting in the park and offering a shoulder to the people in trouble. This hobby leads him to get entangled with the lives of five youths from different walks of life. How Sisir Ray resolves their problems is what the film is about” said the veteran actor. Radhika Apte, Rahul, Rini, Koushik and Sohini will be playing those youths. The actor seemed happy to be in a lead role once again and he expressed his gratitude to the director for offering him the role. The film is slated for a release on the 6th of September. Directed by Atanu Ghosh, the film also has Koushik Sen, Arindam Sil, Nina Chakravarty, in the other roles.

 The singer who has mesmerized the audiences for many years, Bonoshree Sengupta arrived for the inauguration ceremony early. After lighting the inaugural lamp, she said “Institutions like Central Kolkata Rabindra Talent Mission will enable students to develop their self identity. They will be able to use this opportunity to do well in the competitive examinations also. The low fee structure is one of the most vital aspects of this institution. I wish the institution all the best for their future endeavors”.


B.K.Roy, who was representing this institution stressed on the fact that this institution will be opening branches in Habra, Barasat to reach out to more students. After giving an audio visual presentation, he also highlighted on the fact that this institution is not like the others which have been developing all over the city. Despite taking low fees from the students, the quality of service provided will be good. Well trained, experienced and empathetic teachers will be handling the students and guiding them. “We follow the ideals of Rabindranath Tagore and hence the institution has been so named” said Mr. Roy.
