Sishu Parivar Holds Seminar on Child Rights And Protection in Kolkata

Kolkata, August 16, 2012 (Washington Bangla Radio) Sishu Parivar a Network of NGOs working for Child Care And Protection organized an interactive Seminar on “Child Rights And Protection” on the 14th of August, 2012, at Rotary Sadan, Kolkata at 4 P.M.
Many eminent speakers from CRY, Department Of Social Welfare, Government of West Bengal, Controller of Vagrancy, Government of West Bengal and West Bengal Police, presented their point of view about Focal Issues regarding Child Rights. Officials from USIS and British Consulate grace the occasion.
Mr. K.L. Tamta , Senior I.P.S. officer Spoke and explained role of Police in Protecting Rights of Children. In his concise speech he presented data to draw attention of NGOs, Social Activist and participants regarding huge number of children whose rights are violated each and every day.
Speaker from Department of Social Welfare, Government of West Bengal informed Government latest Schemes for Children in distress.
Discussions were held not only about Children who are underprivileged but also about children who are neglected in affluent families.
Anindita Banerjee Tamta is one of the pillar stone of Sishu Parivar. She repeatedly emphasized on her presentation, need for unified effort in protecting Child Rights. She announced that Sishu Parivar will implement projects and programs for promoting Child Rights and Positive Development of Children.
