Mumbai / (Mulund), Aug 15, 2012 (Washington Bangla Radio) T.V. and film actor Vijay Badlani has greeted the people on the occasion of Independence Day being celebrated on August 15.

"India will get freedom in real terms if roti, kapda and makan are available to the people. Since independence, villages do not have even drinking water. What kind of independence is this? We speak of computers, but 50% of the villages do not have electricity. When the political leader, social service activists and parties have abandoned peoples benefit and work for own benefit, how can we get independence? I recently saw a serial on police in which a boy from Bihar was arrested in Delhi, where he used to sell vegetables. He was accused of stealing Rs 200. He refused to agree to charges and had to remain in jail for a year. Finally he gave in as the term for stealing Rs 200 was two months. Is this law and order? The politicians are roaming free even after scams, rape and other heinous crimes'" he said.

"I once again congratulate the people on the happy occasion. People should maintain religious harmony and put nation first. August 15 or January 26, it reminds me of Manoj Kumarji's film song 'Mere desh ki dharti…' and lata Mangeshkarji's song 'Ea Mere watan ke logon'….. These songs being in the spirit of Independence," he adds.

Bhojpuri’s super hit action actor Sudip Pandey greeted Indian people saying “Today we should take an oath that we will fight corruption. Unless people keep a hawk eye on corruptions,it will not to be over. We are being already divided on religion, caste, regionalism and being ruled. It is same trick used by British. We should dissolve all parties and have just two parties, like a Mahatma Gandhi Party and Subash ChandraBose Party. The country should not have a third party. This will unite people. Riots will come party to an end. US have a two party system too. I once again congratulate the people on the happy occasion".

Gandhi Vichar Manch’s president Manmohan Gupta  has greeted the people on the occasion of Independence Day being celebrated on August 15. He reminded the people on their duty towards the motherland."We often blame government and police for violent incidents and forget our own responsibilities. If we maintain peace in our locality and report any odd happenings to the police, then it can help our country. I once again congratulate the people on the happy occasion," said Manmohan Gupta.
