Tollywood Actress Tanushree ChakrabortyKolkata, Aug 12, 2011 (Washington Bangla Radio / IBNS) Tollywood actress Tanusree Chakraborty has created quite a sensation with her "fresh look" in Bengali film Uro Chithi. The model turned actress attended the premiere of the film on Friday (12th August, 2011) in Kolkata. IBNS correspondent Arnab Chakraborty caught up with her before the show to know a little more.

“Uro Chithi", a big film with an even bigger star cast and huge expectations. How do you feel?

I feel really good. I also feel very confident. I'm getting the confidence from somewhere but I don't know how. I have a lot of expectations from the role that I have played and I hope that people will like it. I believe that everyone will like the work that I have done and the film as a whole.

How much similar are you in real life with the character that you have portrayed?

The character of Lillete that I play is not similar to my real life avatar. I'm quite different from her and hence the biggest challenge was enacting her part.

Your dance performance for the song called "Dela Nada" has created a lot of buzz. What would you like to say about that?

When I did the song, I didn't think about it but when it was done I felt it was quite good. I hope the audience will like it too.

Competing with such a huge star cast with a lot of stellar names, wasn't there a fear of being overshadowed?

No I don't have any such fear because every character in the movie has been given their separate screen space so that they can be established properly. It was in fact a great learning experience working with so many talented people and the character that I play has her own personal hold in the movie, so that isn't really a concern.

How was your experience while working with Indraneil Sengupta and Kamaleswar Mukherjee?'

About Indraneil I can say that is a great co actor and it was a great experience working with him. In fact I was quite lucky that I got the opportunity to work with him. As for Kamalda, I have worked with him before in advertisements and I can say this much that he knows his work very well. He knows what he wants to do and what he doesn't. But he is really a very introverted guy and we made a lot of fun with him. Overall it was a great experience.

From modelling to acting. How was the journey?

My entry into modelling was coincidental but I had always had a desire to pursue acting. In this regard Jishuda (director Jishu Dasgupta) had helped me a lot. But now I guess I feel confident for the work that I have done, even though I am a little nervous.

Where are we going to see you next?

My next film is Arunabha Khasnobis' Bhalobashi Off Route-E, which is due for release in September and after that there is Bedroom which has been directed by Mainak Bhaumik.
