Rudraneel portrays Bengali Chaplin

Kolkata, August 2 (IBNS) Tollywood director Anindo Banerjee announced his large-screen directorial debut with Rudraneel Ghosh starring as the protagonist in “Chaplin” on Monday.
The critically acclaimed Tollywood actor was enthusiastic about his role of a slum inhabitant in Kolkata called “Banshi”, which he claimed to be his toughest role in the last five years.
“It was very difficult because of the contradiction between Banshi as father and Banshi as Chaplin," he remarked.
He added to that by saying, "I had to know both Chaplin and Banshi Das but I had to portray Chaplin as seen through the eyes of Banshi who is an illiterate person. It is difficult to do a role like this as there were two different body languages."
Anindo commented on the movie, which also stars Tollywood director Srijit Mukherjee, newcomer Rachita, Mir, Arijit Dutta and child actor Soham, by saying, "Chaplin is an emotional human document which tries to show the relationship of a father with his son."
The movie is scheduled to release on 26th of August, 2011.
