Two Kuki militants arrested in Assam

Guwahati, Aug 31 (IBNS) : Two Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) militants were arrested with arms and ammunition in Assam’s Dima Hasao district on Tuesday, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, the police launched a massive operation at Namjang village, about 7 km from Mahur in the hilly district, and arrested two KRA militants, who took shelter in the area.
The nabbed militants were identified as Thangsa Khungsai and Ramsen Kuki.
Police seized one AK-47 rifle, two magazines and 58 rounds live ammunition from the arrested duo.
