New Delhi, Aug 28 (IBNS) The investigations in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case got a new twist as senior Gujarat- cadre IPS officer Geetha Johri alleged that Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was trying to pressurise her to implicate some political leaders, including arrested BJP leader and former minister of state for Home Amit Shah.
Johri on Friday filed a curative petition with the apex court, and sought the removal of Balwinder Singh, CBI's Special Director who is supervising the investigation into the case.
In her petition, Johri also said that Balwinder should be made a witness in it.
Johri alleged that she was asked by CBI to depose in a particular manner in the case and that her personal assistant was threatened by CBI.
Johri in the petition said that she herself had interrogated Balwinder in connection with the case when he was the Police Commissioner of Hyderabad in 2007.
She said that Balwinder should be made a witness in the case and she also challenged the apex court's decision not to expunge adverse remarks made against her in connection with the case.
Johri filed the curative petition was filed after the Supreme Court dismissed her petition seeking a review of the judgement in which adverse remarks were made against her while handing over the probe into the case to CBI from Gujarat police.
