Salman Khan's DABANG (Hindi, 2010) to create The Bang in Bollywood 2010
Jul 26, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio) Judging by the reaction to the newly released promo-preview of Bollywood hero Salman Khan starrer Hindi movie DABANG, the film is all set to create the bang in Bollywood this year.
The trailer already stirs up enough curiosity in 2 minutes 37 seconds to cause film-lovers to want to see the film.
The trailer starts with the philosophical quote "When you lose the fear of death, life begins" attribute to one John Roy Hill. It then welcomes us to a lawless land, assuredly referencing the northern states of India where corruption and politician-criminal nexuses are notorious. We are introduced to Inspector Chulbul Pandey played by Salman Khan looking a bit strange in a mustache, who tells us himself that he is the local Robin Hood, and known as Robin Hood Pandey - corrupt, lovable and in simple words, bad-ass Robin Hood.
Dabang has a release date of September 10, 2010. The credited star cast includes Salman khan, Anupam Kher , Dimple Kapadia, Vinod Khanna, Mahie Gill, Arbaaz Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Sonu Sood, Om Puri, Mahesh Manjrekar and more. The Indian bollywood Hindi film is directed by Abhinav Kashyap and produced by Arbaaz Khan and will be released under the banners of Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd, and Arbaaz Khan Productions.
Dabangg is the story of a corrupt police officer played by Salman Khan and highlights the flaws and loopholes in the system. Set in Uttar Pradesh, Dabangg will primarily deal with the unlawful practices in the states of UP and Bihar.
