Bengali Movie Moner Manush 2010 PosterJul 21, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio) In a development welcomed by Bangla cinema lovers across the world, the Bangladesh Film Censor Board have indicated they will screen acclaimed film-maker Goutam Ghose's eagerly anticipated Bengali movie Moner Manush at 5 PM for evaluation on July 22, 2010.

This means production of Moner Manush is complete and the film should be finally released to viewers pretty soon.

Moner Manush (The Man of the Heart) is an Indo-Bangladesh joint venture based on Sunil Gangopadhyay’s novel on Lalan Fakir. Kolkata Tollywood hero Prosenjit Chatterjee will play the lead role of Lalon Fakir. Bangladeshi producer Habibur Rehman Khan has joined hands with Kolkata producer Goutam Kundu to make this film. Khan’s Ashirbad Chalchitra had also produced Ritwik Ghatak’s Titas Ekti Nadir Naam (DVD) and Gautam Ghose's Padma Nadir Majhi (DVD) - both landmark films in Bengali movie history.

Besides improving bilateral ties, joint ventures like Moner Manush increase a film’s market. It also means having to take an almost equal number of cast and crew from both countries.

Star Cast:a Paoli Dham, Prosenjit Chatterji (as Lalan Fakir), Soumitra Chatterji (as Kabiraj), Champa (as Lalan's mother), Raisul Islam Asad (as Siraj Sain), Chanchal Chowdhury (as Kalu Mridha), Nazmul Huda Bachchu, Priyanshu Chatterjee nd others.
