Sanskriti Bengali association of Washington DC and and Databazaar Media Ventures have announced a special screening of Kolkata Bengali movie Ekti  Tarar Khonje (English title: Beyond The Stars) on August  8, 2010 at 4 pm at the 300-person capacity Kreeger Auditorium, Jewish Community Center, 6125 Montrose Road, Rockville, Maryland.

The movie  Ekti  Tarar Khonje (English title: Beyond the Stars) is another great production from four-time National Award Winners Anirudha Roy Chowdhury and Avik Mukhapadhya. The Bengali language film is presented with English subtitles.

Synopsis:

Abhishek is young man in search of recognition and fame. He relocates to the big city to figure out what the future has in store for him. In Kolkata, he encounters the quirkiness of everyday realities. Strange people bump into him at unexpected turns and make his journey a roller coaster ride. His dream of becoming a hero is intertwined with his nightmarish experiences in the city. But, Abhishek's ability to see things in a different light keeps him going.
