Rapidly upcoming and talented Tollywood Bengali movie actress Mumtaz Sorcar, the beautiful daughter of renowned magician P C Sorcar Jr and acclaimed actress-danseuse Jayashree Sorcar - talks to glamorous singer - songwriter - composer and popular Radio show hostess Sushmita Bhattachrya (WBRi feature) on Washington Bangla Radio.

Mumtaz talks about her wonderful name and the secular message her parents want to convey with that name - a theme that folds beautifully into her lead role of Kamala / Meherjan in Rabindranath Tagore's Musalmanir Golpo in the movie adaptation directed by Pranab Chaudhuri. Mumtaz eloquently describes the gist of Tagore's wonderful story and about the journey of Kamala to the courageous self-confident Meherjan who rescues her sister from the notorious gangster Madhumallar.

Sushmita and Mumtaz talk about some serious issues outside film, too - do not miss their discussion on the definition of love, gay and lesbian rights, the inflience on Mumtaz of her parents P C and Jayasri Sorcar and Mumtaz's wonderful take on her persona as  magician (yes, she of course is a magician herself) and her career in acting in Tollywood films.

Washington Bangla Radio thanks Sushmita Bhattacharya and Mumtaz Sorcar for facilitating this great interview on a very short notice.
