Kolkata Bengali feature film NATOBAR NOT OUT has a release date of Nov 12, 2010.

Bengali Film NATOBAR NOT OUT Hero Mustafa ProkashMostafa Prokash is the famous NATOBAR in the Bengali movie NATOBAR NOT OUT directed by Amit Sen (WBRi interview) and co-starring Raima Sen, Ananya Dutta (WBRi interview) and others.

Mustafa Prokash grew up in a deep rural village in Bangladesh, and spent at least 14 years of his life there. He learnt many very valuable things from that episode of his life - about nature and people and living off the land. He arrived at the Bangladeshi capital city of Dhaka for higher studies, and is currently studying Drama and Dramatics at Jahangirnagar University, graduating in 2011.

About his role of Natobar, Mostafa had worked with director Amit Sen in an ad film (for a telecom company in Bangladesh) previously, and Amit Sen, having had Mostafa in his mind from then on, asked Mostafa to play Natobar who of course accepted with joy and arrived in Kolkata.

Mostafa describes how he, being just an ordinary student, was initially taken a bit aback when told he will be working with national-level Tollywood and Bollywood Indian actresses like Raima Sen and Ananya Dutta (WBRi interview). As it turns out, he found it actaully very comfortable with his co-stars because of the friendliness and camaraderie all around.

NATOBAR NOT OUT is produced by Bunch Of Buddies - a production company of six friends with a path-setting approach to Bengali film production.

Mostafa talks briefly about who Natobar is in the film - Natobar is a person who has a lot of feelings and emotions that he wants to express via poetry, but his poems are disastrous. Due to some extraordinary events, Natobar gets the gift of poetry writing for a certain time, and things take a sharp turn in his life.

Mostafa wants to become a farmer in the future, at the same time performing acting roles that he would like, with particualr stress on historical epic characters like Siraj-Ud-Daulah, Huyen Sang and so on.

Natobor Not Out is a comedy which will appeal to a wide cross-section of Bengalis - urban, small town and even rural, as almost every Bengali is either already a poet or at least aspires to be one. That there’s something in them that pulls them towards poetry is now a known fact. This is the story of a young chap ‘Natobor’ from a typical north Calcutta middle-class neighbourhood whose heart beats for poetry, but with no appreciation coming from any quarters – not even the local club, he loses heart almost every day.
