Abhishek Mitra remembered through a musical evening

Kolkata,July 10, 2015 (Washington Bangla Radio): Renowned singers as Kumar Sanu, Abhijeet, Rupankar, Babul Supriyo, Jolly Mukherjee, Raya Bhattacharya put up a gala performance at Bishwa Bandhan Foundation (India ) for Cerebral Palsy is  a non-profit organization based in Zurich ,Switzerland and Its India branch operating from Kolkata, observed Safer Society Day through a musical on the day of Abhishek Mitra’s 1 st death anniversary at Nazrul Manch, today, while Satinath Mukherjee anchored the show.
 

The foundation is appealing to the citizens of every corner of the society to observe Safer Society Day on 26 th June. Their aim is to save people who are medically suffering and even sacrificing their lives because of lack of medical awareness. They would like to promote medical awareness to the people with support from medial fraternities and educate everyone about the mishaps which can happen to anyone for lack of medical knowledge or skill.

  It is Abhishek Mitra our inspiration, who was  a patient of 100 % non-progressive cerebral palsy, at the age of 27, died due to lack of mdical awareness, last year. Though the Bishwa Bandhan Foundation was formed with its noble aim before this unexpected death, it started to reflect on a broader spectrum of its mission from 2014. It is their oath that they will be working on our objectives to save the life of every Abhishek.

These efforts have been supported by different heads of sates including the King and Queen of the Netherlands, President of India, Szeth Republic, Switzerland, Hungary, Heads of the Governments including Prime Minister of UK, Szech Republic, Canada, Luxemburg, Switzerland, Governor and Chief Minister of West Bengal, eminent musicians like David Garrett, player, head of the organizations like Michel Platini, president of UEFA, Chairman of UBS and celebrities of different parts of the world.

Thus, through the activities, it is an hope to be able to save millions of children and stand by the side of cerebral palsied as well as different affected persons across the globe.
